Yum! Always good food! Always nice and hot! I love the schezwan chicken and crab Rangoon. My husband likes their beef and broccoli, and my kids love the orange chicken. I've had their eggrolls and they are super good as well! It's hard to find good Chinese food places and this one is very good!
I took my guy there last nite for his FIRST time...we were both very impressed...I ordered my WEIGHT WATCHERS SPECIAL...steamed veggies (snow peas, water chestnuts.broccoli, bok choy.mushrooms, carrots and chicken....not only PLENTIFUL...IT WAS SUPER HOT..Bryan's choice was also hot and delicious..loved the egg drop soup, eggroll and egg foo yung...loved the pot of endless tea and the old school decor....we had plenty of leftovers for tonight!!
Their chicken and broccoli lunch special was very good. They even respected my request to cook with less oil. Flavor wise, the food was delicious. Hopefully it will stay consistent. Thanks!
The food was hot and fresh and made to order. The restaurant was extremely quiet when we went on a Monday evening and although it says it was closed on Mondays on the website, they were open we were the only ones in the restaurant, despite that fact, the service was still slow. The food was enough to feed four people.
Throwback vintage Cantonese, like stepping into a time machine. Delicious egg rolls and good solid classic dishes. Friendly service.
PCR is one of the few remaining Chinese places that still offer a lunch special between, well, lunch hours. Minus the fact that the meal is NOT included with a can of soda but still a pretty good deal. You can get an array of choices (9 total I believe) for their lunch specials. I always stick with the #8 sweet & sour chicken. Ask for the sweet & sour sauce on the side, otherwise they will dunk it all over your chicken which can make it soggy in no time. You also have your choice between white rice or fried rice as well as an egg roll or soup. Their fried rice is good but very greasy! I despise this parking lot, however. It's a tiny strip mall off of Waukegan rd and there is hardly ever any parking. Each time I've had to park in the handicap or behind someone -so "to-go" option is definitely the best option! Overall strong choice in MG-just slightly better than your average!
